Inkline (“the game”, “we”, “us”) is a one-stroke maze puzzle for iPhone and iPad. This Privacy Policy explains what data the game collects, what it doesn’t, and how it’s used. It applies to the versions of Inkline distributed through the Apple App Store.
If you have a question about anything below, email ricoxxo@gmail.com.
All of the following lives in UserDefaults on your device. None of it is sent to a
server we run, because we don’t run one.
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Stars earned per level | Show your progress and unlock the next level |
| Lives remaining, and when the next one refills | Run the lives timer |
| Gem balance | Let you spend gems on hints, Rewind, and refills |
| Daily puzzle results | Show which days you’ve completed |
| Rewarded ads watched today | Enforce the daily cap on rewarded videos |
| Settings, such as colour-blind mode | Remember your preferences |
Deleting the app removes all of it from that device.
Your gem balance, stars, and daily puzzle results are also written to iCloud key-value storage so they follow you to your other devices.
This uses your own personal iCloud account. The data sits in Apple’s infrastructure under your Apple ID — not in any system we control, and we have no way to read it. If you’re signed out of iCloud, the game works exactly the same but stays local to that device.
Gems are the one thing here that costs real money, which is why they sync: consumable purchases cannot be restored through the App Store, so this is what protects a purchase when you change phones.
Inkline shows rewarded video ads only. You are never shown an ad you didn’t ask for — every one is behind a button offering something in return, such as a life or a hint. There are no banner ads and no interstitials between levels.
Ads are served by Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC). When you choose to watch one, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process:
Every ad request Inkline makes is flagged as non-personalised. The adverts you see are chosen from general context rather than a profile built from your behaviour across apps. Because Inkline does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites, it does not present Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt.
Google’s handling of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
If you’re in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, Inkline shows a Google-certified consent form the first time you open it, before any ad is requested. You can reopen that form and change your choices at any time from Settings → Manage privacy choices inside the game.
Inkline is free to play. Gems can be bought in bundles as consumable in-app purchases.
Purchases are processed entirely by Apple’s App Store using StoreKit. Inkline receives only a confirmation that a purchase succeeded and which bundle it was, so it can credit the gems. We never receive, see, or store your payment card, billing address, or Apple ID.
Consumable purchases cannot be restored by Apple once spent. See Support if gems have gone missing.
Inkline is a general-audience puzzle game. It is not directed at children under 13, and it is not distributed in the App Store Kids Category. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Because the game contains in-app purchases and rewarded advertising, we recommend parents use Screen Time → Content & Privacy Restrictions on iOS to manage or disable in-app purchases.
If you believe a child has made purchases without permission, Apple handles refunds directly at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to it.
In practice, for Inkline:
We hold no user database and no account records, so there is generally nothing for us to look up, export, or erase on your behalf. If you want to exercise a right anyway, email ricoxxo@gmail.com and we’ll help as far as we’re able.
For data Google holds as a result of serving ads, contact Google using the links in Section 4.
We retain nothing, because we store nothing on our own systems.
If this policy changes materially, the effective date at the top will be updated and the revised version published here before the change takes effect in the app.
